Just in case you are wondering about the significance of the time frame in the title of this article, there is  a good reason for that:  it's a very big deal and stay tuned as I tell you why!

That's because, outside of a very tight-knit circle of close family members and friends who can be counted on one hand,  this is the very first time throughout my entire life, and specifically since I have been advocating for Human Evolution over the last 14 years, that I have been able to mention the term Human Evolution to another human being on planet Earth without seeing a bewildered look on their face.    

Not only that, this is the very first time that I was able to engage in a live conversation with another human being on planet Earth about Human Evolution for more than 30 seconds and still be able to grasp and retain their attention.     Moreover, Rebecca understood the definition of the term without the need for me to go into excruciating details. 

And last but not least, as I sought to acknowledge during our conversation that I am clearly aware it may take another 2000 years for Human Evolution to finally take place on planet Earth and that, nonetheless, we have to start somewhere, instead of seeing her dashing for the nearest virtual exit during our videoconference, her curiosity and enthusiasm grew by the minute to the point where we lost track of time and our discussion wound up going 23 minutes over the initial 1-hour time allotment.   

Imagine That, a world record of 83 minutes talking primarily about Human Evolution - a quixotic adventure which may bear fruit 2000 - if not 2 million - years from now.   Thus the reason why I sought to write this article about my recent videoconference with Rebecca on Saturday, April 10, 2021. 

What Happens Next With Rebecca?

As to "What happens next with Rebecca?" my answer is very simple:   I have already done my part and thus my job is done.  What she does with the information I shared with her is totally out of my control and, therefore,  completely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. 

In the grand scheme of things,  our meeting was not due to sheer coincidence.  It had already taken place hundreds or thousands or millions of years ago and the outcome of our meeting has already manifested itself in a universe which transcends time and space.  In other words, in a universe where there is NO past,  present and future.  Our sense of identity, time and space and decision-making is strictly an illusion.   As human beings, we only get to experience what has already occurred.   

That means, not even Rebecca knows what role she is destined to play, if any, in the march of humankind toward Human Evolution and whatever decision she makes will be in line with what has already been decided hundreds or thousands or millions of years ago.

Although the foregoing is mind-bending, please note that this has absolutely nothing to do with religion, superstition, astrology, any sect or secret society, or mysticism.   That's pure science.        

The Original Impetus for the Videoconference

However, that being said, there is more to this story than meets the eye.   This encounter with Rebecca is the outcome of my previous outreach efforts to ALL LinkedIn and XING social network members who sent me a connection request over the last two (2) years.  For each connection request - regardless of that person's age, experience, rank, corporate or social status - I automatically sent such individual a custom Thank You For Your Invitation email  which contains a link to schedule an On Demand 1-Hour Videoconference With Founder of VOMI  on a Saturday of their own choosing at exactly 10 AM (PST USA)  for the express purpose of making a personal introduction - and NOT to give me a sales pitch.     

That means there is no set agenda and I myself have absolutely no idea what we will be talking about or discussing during that one (1) hour time frame. 

End of  A Successful 10-Year Virtual Organization Research Experiment

Regretfully, that videoconference with Rebecca on Saturday, April 10, 2021 marked the end of a wildly successful 10-Year Virtual Organization Research Experiment which began in April of 2011.   

In other words, the tremendous amount of opportunities that I previously made available to thousands of social media contacts is now gone for good as I now switch my focus from the asinine distractions of social networks, the herculean efforts of building bona fide virtual organization infrastructures,  and the  persistence of global advocacy for the introduction of the virtual organization management discipline and virtual organizations to the world at large  :::  to the frontoparietal activities that I need to pursue in order to pass the baton to a new breed of successive generations of virtual organization leaders.  

The bottom line is this:   The Human Evolution soil has been tilled.  The seeds have been planted and watered.   We have reaped a bountiful crop all over the globe.  It's now time to pass the baton to those who will harvest the crop and distribute it to those in need.       

Tasks For New Breed of Virtual Organization Leaders

This new breed of successive generations of virtual organization leaders will focus on the following:  accelerating the explosion of virtual organizations across the globe :::  spreading the gospel of principled geopolitical leadership and political evolution :::  helping mankind make the transition from Human Beings to Intelligent Beings :::  the building of a new global civilization of Intelligent Beings based on a Civilized World Financial System  ::: and helping to bring about Human Evolution.

Being the founder of the Virtual Organization Management discipline, my focus over the last 20+ years has always been on the "virtual organization management education" and "100% experiential virtual organization leadership  training" aspects of the discipline through Virtual Organization Management Institute ("VOMI"), Virtual Organization Management Institute Repository, Virtual Organization Leadership, VOMI Virtual Organization Academy, VOMI Executive-In-Residence, and through VOMI Global Think Tank in the form of Virtual Organization Internships and Postdoctoral Virtual Organization Fellowships.  

My reasoning was very simple.   Our experience over the years has shown that it was completely useless to engage in any discussions with ::: and offer advice on virtual organizations  to ::: people and organizations who didn't have a clue as to what the hell a virtual organization is.     

Think about this for one quick second:   

Imagine yourself a Military Warfare Strategist  (Virtual Organization Leadership Executive) getting a request to offer advice on military strategy (virtual organizations, virtual organization management and virtual organization leadership) to a bunch of cowboys and gunslingers (work from home employees) who know absolutely nothing about the military (virtual organizations).   It makes no sense.  

The point being, you can only offer advice on military strategy to the military.  Talking to cowboys and gunslingers about military strategy is a complete waste of time.  Where do you begin?  

Thus the reason why I opted to focus on the virtual organization education and training aspects of the discipline prior to offering advice on "virtual organizations."

So, why this sudden change of heart with the launch of Virtual Organization Advisors?   

Frankly, not much at all has changed.  It's just that this time around I have been inundated with a bunch of questions regarding the role of DAOs (Distributed Autonomous Organizations), Immersive Technologies (Artificial Intelligence - AI, Artificial General Intelligence - AGI, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality,  Holographic Telepresence, etc.) and other Technology Platforms within virtual organizations from well-meaning individuals and micro-consulting organizations whose Forbes Global 2000  and Venture Capital clients are totally clueless about virtual organizations.  

They seem very interested in the technology aspects of organizations which allow "Remote Workers - Work From Home Employees" to function in some sort of virtual environment and thus keep bandying about and using the term "virtual organization" in a haphazard fashion.   

Of course, I am fully aware that the global pandemic has played a big role in this sudden upsurge of genuine interest in virtual organizations.  Nonetheless, better late than never.

Thus the need to share with them some deep insights into the definition and role of virtual organizations as well as point them in the right direction with respect to currently available resources on virtual organizations.    

And being the pioneer and founder of the virtual organization management discipline and the world's foremost expert on all things related to virtual organizations, virtual organization management, and virtual organization leadership :::  as well as the founder of  just about every single bona fide virtual organization in the world :::  I believe that the time is now opportune to introduce to the world of virtual organizations those who have a genuine interest and urgent need to learn more about virtual organizations.

My Agenda: Collaboration, Principled Geopolitical Leadership and Human Evolution

Over the last couple of decades,
I have literally received thousands of compliments, accolades and requests from individuals, organizations, investors, institutions and governments  - including 
sovereign wealth funds and societies  - from all over the globe :::  regarding the activities of Virtual Organization Management Institute and related entities :::  and for information on how they can be part of any of our global initiatives.   The words most often used are "intriguing, fascinating, revolutionary, I want to know more."

In connection thereof, my tendency has always been to point them to several of my articles, papers and treatises (totaling anywhere from dozens to hundreds to thousands of pages) in order to provide them with a deep insight into one or more of our global initiatives.    For One Simple Reason:  
It is absolutely impossible to convey to any single human being on planet Earth what we are all about through some 30-second elevator pitch, 15-minute presentation, viral marketing, marketing gimmick, or smoke-and-mirrors and magic sleight of hand since we are introducing concepts that are deeply rooted in a philosophy that is totally alien to mankind and our current civilization:  Collaboration, Principled Geopolitical Leadership, and Human Evolution.   
Many of the responses I have received go along these lines:  "Pierre, I haven't yet had a chance to finish reading..." or "Pierre, the material you provided is just overwhelming..." or "Pierre, I am going on a 6-month sabbatical..." or "Pierre, there has been a death in the family..."   

In other words, in the absence of a clear understanding of this philosophy, the meaning of each one of these words ::: Collaboration, Principled Geopolitical Leadership, Human Evolution - as well as Principled Leadership, Virtual Organization Leadership, Political Evolution, The New Virtual Organization World, Intelligent Beings, A New Global Civilization of Intelligent Beings, A Civilized World Financial System :::  is subject to every single reader's interpretation and thus left in the eye of the beholder. 

The point being, when I say that our initiatives are "totally alien to mankind," I really mean it from both a literal and figurative standpoint.     Thus the need for me to approach things from a very simple My Agenda standpoint and then leave it up to each reader to either seek the light or embark on a search for enlightenment.  

My Agenda

In a nutshell,  here is what we are all about in chronological order:  

  • Agenda Item #1.    Internal Providers License.   Being the founder of both the Virtual Organization Management discipline pioneered since 1997 and Virtual Organization Management Institute, my primary focus is on offering  to Global 5000 organizations and governments worldwide an Internal Providers License which allows them to offer the Virtual Organization Leadership Executive Training, Assessment  and Certification and the formal Virtual Organization Leadership Executive designation  to 1000 Mid-Level Management to Senior Level Executives within their own organization.  

Such training includes the art of  CollaborationPrincipled Leadership and Principled Geopolitical Leadership.

  • Agenda Item #2.    Virtual Organization Leadership Force.   The knowledge gained at  Agenda Item #1 sets the stage for these organizations to develop their very own internal Virtual Organization Leadership Force  spread out across  the globe.   For Example,

Moreover, you will notice that NONE of the foregoing Agenda Items include the need for "Investors" for the simple reason that "We Have Absolutely No Need For Investors."   Participation in--and contribution to--the cause of Human Evolution is open to  everyone, including all potential investors.   In fact, I highly recommend membership in the foregoing consortia to all potential investors who seek to participate in the building of this New Global Civilization of Intelligent Beings.

In Conclusion

Therefore, my first priority is a focus on Collaborators, by extension,  Official Global Ambassadors  in every single country in the world.  Real Deal Collaborators  who truly share the Cause of Human Evolution ::  who are  Completely Independent :: "Who Will Do What They Say They Can Do," and "Who Will Give What They Say They Can Afford to Give."    

We are also focused on another group of Collaborators, by extension, Distinguished Members of League of Extraordinary Virtual Organization Executives.     

If you believe that you might be a good fit for either of these two Collaborator opportunities, then proceed in accordance with the information provided within the referenced documents.  Otherwise,  I am not prepared to engage in discussions that fall short of Collaboration with anyone and thus lead to nowhere.

The Virtual Organization Leadership Proof Is in the Coronavirus Virtual Leadership Challenge

It goes without saying that never before in the entire history of mankind have Leaders from every single field and industry throughout the entire globe been so simultaneously faced with a greater existential challenge:  The Existential Coronavirus Leadership Challenge.     

Moreover, with respect to industry, governments, educational institutions and all other institutions, and all religions across the globe, this existential challenge is further compounded by the Coronavirus Virtual Leadership Challenge.    In other words, How Can They Lead Effectively In a Virtual Environment?   The key word being, "Effectively."


Virtual Chaos

To paraphrase, for 95% of these executives, their honest answer is:   
We are doing the best we can under the circumstances until things can finally get back to normal or the "new normal."   However, that being said, the one lesson that we have learned from this tragedy is that, having been caught flat-footed this time around,  we need to be better prepared the next time around to deal with any sort of business continuity challenges on a global scale - not just another global pandemic. 

The School of Hard Knocks

Unfortunately,  these executives  had to learn from the school of hard knocks that Leadership in a Virtual Environment ("Virtual Leadership") clearly amounts to Virtual Chaos and is NOT a substitute for Organizational Leadership in a brick and mortar environment OR  the Virtual Organization Leadership model of governance and Virtual Organization Management discipline  pioneered by Virtual Organization Management Institute and Virtual Organization Leadership  over the past 24  years ::: since none of them could have anticipated the global extent of such massive disruption of society. 

As well, this Remote Worker frenzy has opened up a Real Can of Worms 
and unleashed a real Circus and Carnival of so-called Remote Workforce Experts, Remote Workforce Pioneers, World-Renowned Remote Workforce Speakers (with a PhD having nothing to do with Virtual Leadership attached to their name)Remote  Workforce Executive Coaches,  Remote Workforce Trainers with over 40 years of experience (don't laugh!),  Remote Workforce Gurus, Remote Workforce Psychologists, etc. :: who are feverishly doling out advice on social media and mainstream media on How to Keep the Remote Workforce Healthy, Safe, Secure, Engaged and Motivated :: as well as trying to peddle their next potential bestseller book.  

Ask any of them, "What is the difference between Virtual Leadership and Virtual Organization Leadership?" and carefully observe their response.    None of them will tell you "I really don't know."  

In Conclusion

Regrettably, and with deep sorrow, the Coronavirus Leadership Challenge turned out to be The One Irrefutable Proof that Virtual Leadership is NOT a substitute for the Virtual Organization Leadership model of governance pioneered by Virtual Organization Management Institute and Virtual Organization Leadership since 1997.    

The "We'll Cross That Bridge When We Get There" mentality and response that I used to receive from my colleagues over the past 20 years has proven to be disastrous for every single organization and institution across the globe.   Hopefully, we have all learned from our failings and will take the necessary steps to move forward.    It's finally Time to Cross That Bridge!
