You are NOT White, Black, Brown, Minority, Racist, Privileged, Civilized, Superior or Inferior.  NOR are you Intelligent, Rich, Wealthy, SuccessfulStrong, Powerful, Royalty, a Criminal, a Terrorist, a Drug Lord, a Drug Trafficker, a Money Launderer, a Freedom Fighter,  a Patriot, a Hero, a Libertarian,  a Philanthropist, a Philosopher, a Master, a Slave, a Serf, a Servant, Poor, Dumb, Ignorant, Lower-Class, Underprivileged,  a Failure, Weak, Disadvantaged, Disenfranchised, Downtrodden, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Queer, Transvestite, American, Russian, Chinese, Haitian, European, African, Asian, Latin American, Indigenous, a Native, an Atheist,  Religious,  a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Hindu,  Catholic, Protestant, Lutheran, Liberal,  Conservative, Right-Wing, Left-Wing, Socialist, Communist, Globalist, Internationalist, Democrat, Republican, a Dictator, or Judge.
These are merely lines, routines and sub-routines of a set of Narratives which govern the conduct of  Human Beings wherever they may reside in the multiverse.  
Who You Really Are

You ARE a member of one of the 4 Domains of Organisms consisting the Tree of Life: 

  • Domain #1.  Archaea   ||  Single-Celled Organisms
  • Domain #2.   Bacteria  ||  Single-Celled Organisms 
  • Domain #3.   Eukarya  ||  Multicellular Organisms 
  • Domain #4.   Yet Undefined || Plasmatic  Organisms

This Tree of Life is an Intelligence governed by One Primary Operating System (its own Narrative) from which springs an infinite amount of  Open Source Operating Systems (endless amount of Sub-Narratives).

And as it stands today, this very minute and second, it's prudent to say that anyone reading this document belongs to the Eukarya domain of organisms and is governed by one of these Open Source Operating Systems (Sub-Narratives)  which dictate the conduct of ALL  Human Beings on planet Earth.
An Open Source Operating System (one of these Sub-Narratives) which is in dire need of a complete overhaul or replacement so that  Human Beings can make the transition to Intelligent Beings and thus bring about the dawn of Human Evolution.
It is indeed this Open Source Operating System (Sub-Narrative) which leads us to believe All These Things That We Are NOT.   Thus relegating ALL Human Beings, from time immemorial to this very second, to thinking, behaving and living like a bunch of PABS ("Primitive And Barbaric Savages").

What We Are

That being the case, with respect to humans, the question then becomes:   If we are NOT who or what we either think, or have been led to believe, that we are, then Who and What Are We?

A question I am more than pleased to answer:   We are leaves, branches and roots of the Tree of Life,  this Supreme Intelligence which consists of all known and unknown domains of organisms, including viruseswherever they may reside in the multiverse. 

Therefore, by extrapolation, we are indeed Intelligent Beings In-Progress who have yet to discover our roots as well as understand and believe in the true nature and power of our potential.   However, that being said,  when it comes to such realization,  the progress that we've made thus far in the pursuit of such discovery is NOT even equivalent to a single grain of sand on a large beach. 

I am clearly aware that some of you would beg to differ and point out the scientific and technological progress made by mankind over the last couple of centuries.   Ouch, as much as I hate to disappoint you or rain on your scientific and technological progress parade,  such advances do not even come close to meeting the "single grain of sand on a large beach" progress benchmark.

As to what would even come close to meeting that "single grain of sand on a large beach" benchmark, let me spare you the agony of trying to figure it out.  That time will come about on the very day that you realize and truly understand that your entire existence, mankind's entire existence, has been based on this Open Source Operating System (Sub-Narrative) for ALL Human Beings. 
A Sub-Narrative designed to appeal to our very worst human instincts (e.g., envy, avarice, greed, fear, idiocy, apathy, willful ignorance, stupidity and superstition)  and which is based on lies, bedtime stories,  smoke and mirrors, deception, make believe, telltales, and figments of our very own primitive human imagination.    
A Sub-Narrative fashioned from an infinite number of iterations over the course of millions to billions of years - with each iteration being presented as either an innovation,  something completely brand new, or a great improvement over prior conventions, norms, designs, conditions and settings.  Although the end result always turns out to be The Same Old Shit. 
As the old saying goes, "Control the Narrative, Control the World."  And thus far, there has never been a shortage of volunteers (sociopaths, psychopaths, liars, thieves, con artists, and bloodthirsty murderers without an ounce of conscience or regard for human life) willing to step up to the plate in order to control the narrative.     They have done a pretty good job at keeping  not only the world in a state of turmoil and mayhem but also all human beings, including themselves,  in a state of perpetual slavery and servitude. 

Once we are able to come to such realization, then and only then will we be able to fashion a Brand New Sub-Narrative which will allow us to shed :: day by day, minute by minute, one by one, piece by piece, line by line, routine and sub-routine by routine and sub-routine ::  all the vestiges of our current Sub-Narrative which keeps such a deep stranglehold on mankind and has relegated us all to the following status: a bunch of PABS ("Primitive And Barbaric Savages") with absolutely NO redeeming values.

However, that being said, in order to Fashion a  Brand New Sub-Narrative, it is critical for each and every single one of us to know and understand in very concrete terms, the specific actions to be taken and by whom,  the sort of results we envision,  a realistic time frame and, most importantly, how the confluence and congruence of all these things and events will take us one step further in our drive toward making the transition from Human Beings to Intelligent Beings.
 
We don't have to be accurate in our assessments, however, we do have to be "honest" with ourselves as well as be willing to admit that although we don't have all the answers,  no amount of effort will be spared in order to find the answers that we need so we can accomplish our objectives.

Folly of Visionary’s Frustration In The Land of the Blind, Deaf and Dumb

Imagine walking into a room full of people and excited at the prospect of engaging in healthy debates and philosophical discussions about our current civilization and stage of human evolution,  ideas on how mankind can make a giant leap forward toward political and human evolution in order to make the transition from Human Beings to Intelligent Beings.

You’re excited to tell them that once we are able to make the transition to Intelligent Beings, we’ll be able to Build a New Global Civilization based on Principled Geopolitical Leadership, a concept rooted in a new discipline called Virtual Organization Management - pioneered since 1997 -  and the architecture of a Civilized World Financial System.

You’re unable to contain your excitement at the prospect of Building Paradise Here On Earth once we make the transition to Intelligent Beings.   You know that once we’re able to Build Paradise Here On Earth,  we’ll have no choice but to set our sights toward the stars in order to meet our fellow brethren in the multiverse, travel side by side with our Creator, and marvel at the beauty of Creation.

And, last but not least, you are happy to let them know that they don't need to rely on a Savior, Prophet, Leader, Some Superior Intelligence, Investors, or One World Government  to make it all happen and that they are already in possession of everything they need to make it a reality.

After a while, the more you speak and pay attention to their response and behavior, you begin to notice something very strange happening.  

You've come to realize that,  in spite of the fact that they seem to be human just like you and you all share the same language, this is just about the full extent of what you have in common with all of them.    

Although they have ears, it seems that they are unable to hear a single word you said.   Everything seems to go in one ear and out the other.   So you assume they must be DEAF.

Although they have eyes,  it seems they are unable to see anything that you are showing them or pointing out to them - they are not even able to look in the direction of anything that you are pointing out to them.    So you assume they must be BLIND.

Although they have a brain, it seems that either they are not able to use it, are unwilling to use it, or are afraid to use it.   So, by their actions, you are left with no other choice but to assume they must LACK INTELLIGENCE.    

Although they have a nose, it seems they are either unable to smell the stench all around them or have grown accustomed to it to a point where they can no longer smell it.  So you assume they must LACK THE SENSE OF SMELL.

Although they have the gift of speech, it seems they are unable to articulate their thoughts, feelings and anything which smacks of intelligence.   No matter what you say or do in order to engage them in a discussion, it seems they can only say or repeat words that they have been taught and conditioned to say and repeat -  just like a parrot.    So you assume they must be DUMB.

A Race of Primitive And Barbaric Savages ("PABS") 

Based on the foregoing observations, you're left with no choice but to come to the realization that you are dealing with a bunch of Modern Day Apes called Humans that are right in the middle of a critical stage of the Human Evolution process.   They have evolved only physiologically instead of mentally and intellectually and it's useless to try to rush Mother Nature.   

They are still a race of Primitive And Barbaric Savages ("PABS").   After all,  Our Ape Ancestors didn't all get up one day from their hind legs, stand in an erect posture, and start walking and running.    It took millions of years for that to happen completely for all humans.   

Frustration is Sheer Folly

The mental part of the Human Evolution process will happen sooner or later and no amount of gene  splicing, slicing, dicing, tweaking or shortcuts can speed up the process.   Thus, it is sheer folly to get frustrated at their progress on the path toward Human Evolution.

Remote Workers: Response of Virtually-Disoriented Brick and Mortar Executives

Overnight, the global population became exposed to the hashtags #remotework, #remoteworker and #remoteemployee.     "Remote Work" became the new buzzword and flavor of the day for not only corporate executives but also politicians, religious leaders and academics worldwide.

As well, every single huckster, crackpot, charlatan, snake oil salesman, and con artist that you can think of is all of a sudden claiming to be a Remote Workforce Consultant and busy producing virtual webinars and conferences designed to offer advice on best practices for Managing a Remote Workforce.

In fact, hundreds of them have even contacted ME in order to offer ME  help on how to manage a remote workforce.   I believe that says it all about these new experts.

But here is the real question:   Is having your employees "working remotely" the solution to the current global pandemic? 

The answer is categorically NO.  In fact, that is the WRONG solution.   This is the response of a "Virtually-Disoriented Brick-and-Mortar Executive Scoundrel" grabbing for straws - someone who never took time to prepare for Business or Government Continuity in the event of any cataclysmic event.
So much for the farcical and mythical  Emergency & Disaster Preparedness Plans that these organizations and governments supposedly had in place. 
The point being, over the past 20 years, I have been evangelizing to Global Enterprises,  Academia, and Governments across the globe on the Imperative Need for a highly sophisticated and disciplined "Virtual Organization Leadership Force" based on the virtual organization management discipline that is able to respond INSTANTLY to Global Pandemics, Force Majeure Events (i.e., Acts of God or Nature, Cataclysmic Events)Nuclear Wars,  Tactical Nuclear Wars, Conventional War, Color Revolutions, Ransomware Attacks, Debilitating Cyber Attacks on a Country's Vital and Critical Infrastructures, Overt or Covert Manipulation of the Global Financial System, Meltdown of the Global Financial System, Internal Destabilization, Total Breakdown of Social Order and Stability, etc.

Thousands of articles, postings, treatises and comments have been made on Why that is so important to prepare IN ADVANCE for such eventuality instead of this "waiting to cross that bridge when you get there" mentality which plagues these short-sighted and so-called visionary leaders worldwide.   It's as if the Leaders of these organizations, institutions and Governments were all BRAIN DEAD.    Sheer incompetence on a Global Scale.

Overnight, the COVID-19 global pandemic has all of a sudden transformed just about every single Virtual Collaboration Platform Provider, Teleconference Provider, Videoconference Provider, Cybersecurity Platform Provider, Cybersecurity Consultant, IT Consultant, Gig Economy Worker, Virtual Call Center Worker, Online Instructor, Management Consultant, Leadership Team Consultant, Virtual Team Consultant, Virtual Management Consultant, Globally Dispersed Team Member,  Social Network Member, Social Media Consultant, Telecommuter, Remote Worker and die-hard, dyed in the wool "Brick and Mortar" Executive who can schedule a videoconference  into a Remote Workforce Consultant.

In short, every single huckster, crackpot, charlatan, snake oil salesman, and con artist that you can think of is all of a sudden claiming to be a Remote Workforce Consultant and busy producing virtual webinars and conferences designed to offer advice on best practices for managing a Remote Workforce.   
In fact, in less than a couple of months, I have received hundreds of invitations to such virtual conferences.  What they are all unaware of is that, they are prescribing the wrong solution to the current calamity the world is facing.   Having a Remote Workforce is strictly the equivalent of applying a band-aid solution to a gaping wound.  
What is needed is a Virtual Organization Leadership Force. 
My only consolation is that none of them dare lay claim to the Virtual Organization Leadership Executive mantle.  There is, however, a reason for this glaring omission:  Other than from myself or Virtual Organization Management Institute, either they have never heard of  that term from the mainstream media or they don't really know what it is.

Cure for Coronabeervirus Has Been Found

The Dawn of a New Virus-Free World

A number of leading scientists at the most prestigious Water Strand University have just announced the discovery of a miraculous cure for the Coronabeervirus:  Water.   Specifically, a total of 8  12-ounce glasses of water for an entire day on an empty stomach. 

During that period of time, all those who are infected with this deadly virus are advised to practice Social Distancing and to refrain from participating in meetings or videoconferences scheduled to last for more than 10 minutes.

Please note that the foregoing recommendation does not apply to those who are wearing very shiny white or black leather pants or those who have a good supply of adult diapers.   According to the official spokesman for Deep Ends, "We have an unlimited supply of diapers and there is absolutely no risk of diaper shortages due to hoarding.  In fact, we not only welcome but also embrace everyone who feels the need to hoard during one of the most trying times in the history of mankind."

According to a number of reliable and anonymous sources, an effort is now underway in order to nominate Dr. Drunkenstupor and Dr. Pissingfountain for a Nobel Prize in medicine in recognition of their important contribution to the discovery of this cure.

The Signal You Send When You Are Late ...

The signal that you send when you are late for a videoconference with a Virtual Organization Leadership Executive says a lot about your future prospects as a potential Collaborator or Virtual Organization Leadership Executive. 

I know you are probably wondering why I am writing an article on a topic that is so plain and obvious and what a Virtual Organization has to do with it.  After all,  absent a series of unpreventable, unpredictable and unfortunate circumstances  or force majeure event,  there is absolutely no excuse for being late to any meeting regardless of the venue. 

Well, you are partially correct.  However, from a potential Collaborator and Virtual Organization Leadership Executive standpoint, That Is a Cardinal Sin.   

Although there are at least dozens of reasons for this assertion based on empirical virtual organization management evidence gathered over a period of more than 25 years,  let me give you just one primary reason:  

In a virtual organization environment, what you do gets amplified a thousand-fold.  Therefore, what you do matters much more than what you say.   

Thus, being late for more than 30 seconds is the equivalent of saying out loud to the person you are scheduled to meet with that  1) this meeting doesn't rank that high on your list of priorities; 2) you don't really have that much respect and consideration for the person you're meeting with;   3)  you'll get there when you get there;  4) it's entirely up to that person to decide whether or not to wait for you (i.e., you got nothing to lose);  5) you don't really care whether or not to inconvenience that person with respect to having to reschedule the meeting; and 6) in case that person decides not to wait, it's not that big a deal and you didn't really miss out on anything of value or importance to you.

So, with respect to each of the foregoing points, let me address them one by one:

Point #1.    If it were a potentially life-changing meeting with Bill Gates, Warren Buffett,  President Vladimir Putin or the President of the United States,  would you have made sure that you are at least 15-30 minutes early for that meeting?   This is purely a rhetorical question since you already know that answer.  My point is well-made.  

Well, guess what?  In a Virtual Organization environment,  every single scheduled meeting MUST rank very high on your list of priorities; it doesn't matter if you are the President of the United States and your meeting is with an Intern.   If it is not high on your list of priorities, then you should communicate only via email, social network, social media (e.g., Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Telegram, WeChat) or some virtual communication and collaboration platform.

Point #2.    Regardless of the status of the person you are meeting with, you MUST treat everyone  with the same amount of respect and consideration.  (I know it's easier said than done.)  Therefore, if you would make damn sure that you show up on time for a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, then so should you for a meeting with a lowly Intern, some Candidate vying for a position, some Vendor making a sales presentation, or one of your Subordinates. 
There are many virtual organization management reasons for that, however, I am unable to elaborate on them at this time since they fall outside the scope of this article.      
Point #3.    Whether you are only running 30 seconds or 30 minutes late, by not being on time,  you leave it up to the person you are meeting with To Guess BOTH the reason(s) why you are late and how long it might take for you to finally show up (assuming you are only running late and nothing serious happened to you); or to wonder whether or not you ever received the meeting invitation which includes the Virtual Organization Videoconference Protocols and  detailed instructions on how to log into the video conference room.   

It is the height of arrogance for you to presume, without advance notification to the person you are meeting with, that you are entitled to having someone wait for you for whatever period of time you deem reasonable  (be it 30 seconds, one minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes or 10 minutes)  prior to exiting the conference room.   The old brick and mortar "I'll get there when I get there" mentality when someone either takes another person for granted or assumes that he is more important than the person he is scheduled to meet with.

Point #4.   As the old adage goes, actions speak louder than words.   It's obvious to that person you are scheduled to meet with that you don't really attach much importance to him; nor do you understand the value of this meeting;  and that you could care less as to whether or not he waits for you or leaves.  In essence, you are clearly communicating to  this person that he has nil to none leverage or, at the very least, you don't quite understand or are not able to perceive what that person brings to the table.

Thus, you are placing that person in a position to ask himself this question:  "How important is that meeting to me and how much do I stand to gain or lose by waiting or leaving?"   
It's definitely not a good way to begin or maintain a good Collaborator relationship in a virtual organization environment. 
The bottom line:  In a mere 30 seconds, you have managed to destroy or eliminate any possible chance or opportunity to Learn from, Partner or Collaborate with a Virtual Organization;  an experience which could have turned out to be a game-changer for you for the rest of your life or for your organization.

Point #5.   By putting that person in a position to try to reschedule that meeting,  it is a clear indication that you don't take that person seriously.   Not only that, you have also lost every bit of goodwill and respect that you may have accumulated from this person prior to your stupidity or display of arrogance.  It's the first impression that counts.   But this also means that you yourself have no self-respect.

Henceforth,  your encounter and dealings with that person will be based solely on perceived power, leverage, strength, pragmatism and realpolitik - all of which are antithetical to Collaboration in a Virtual Organization environment.    And should that person ever be in a position to humiliate you or display his own perceived power, strength and leverage, you are guaranteed to have a front row seat.

Point #6.   The dismissive "It's not that big of a deal" mentality is for idiots who think they know what the future holds for them and can only see as far as the tip of their nose.   Even if you were to assume that you do not stand to gain or accrue any immediate benefits or advantages from this meeting :: and viewed this encounter as an opportunity for that person to gain something from you, thus no big deal if you are late ::  this viewpoint could cost you a great deal either now or in the future.    

In what sense, you might ask?

Well, the truth of the matter is this:  Regardless of what you may have read, heard or assumed about anyone on planet Earth, 
you don't really know a goddamn thing about that person until you've had a chance to sit down and speak with that person one-on-one and  face-to-face - either in person or via videoconference.   Even then, you would still be barely scratching the surface.
(By the way, although this sounds counter intuitive, you can learn much, much more about a person via videoconfererence - one of the best-kept secrets of the virtual organization management discipline.)
Therefore, it's practically impossible for you to know in advance what the outcome of a meeting will be based on a person's Claim to Fame or Popularity Index Score.    In fact, the more famous and the greater the popularity of the person you are scheduled to meet with, the less likely it is that this meeting will turn out to be favorable to you or mutually beneficial.

Why is that, you might say?  Well, that's because those who bask in the Glory of Fame, Fortune  and their Popularity Index Score thrive on the adulation and respect bestowed upon them by those who have the Star-Struck Parasite Mentality and feel blessed and privileged just to be in the presence of royalty and stardom.    

They know that you want to meet with them only because you want something from them and thus expect you to come on bent knees groveling at their feet, hoping and praying to your god or genie that they grant you your wishes and requests.  Thus, they naturally expect you to have sleepless nights waiting for the day to finally meet with them; and to be at least 30 minutes early for the conference.   (In other words, they know You Have No Leverage, No Character and No Pride.)   The best possible outcome of such meeting would be for you to be offered a Take It or Leave It deal, if any.

They understand full well human nature.  They know damn well if they were your regular, middle-class or working class stiff,  you would walk right past them and not even notice or greet them;  and that if they were ever in need of anything or had an idea that they wanted to pitch to you and offer you a chance to Collaborate,  you would either ignore them or walk right past them and not give them the time of day.   

This Star-Struck Parasite Mentality makes you susceptible to--and a prime target for--charlatans, liars, thieves, con artists, snake oil salesmen, bling-bling flashers, human compromise operators, sycophants, parasites, leeches and downright scum bags who either know or sense that you are only attracted to and give respect to those who are in a position of power or have something to offer you

Moreover,  there is a residual and long-term aspect to being dismissive of someone that you perceive to be of no immediate use to you.    Even if the person you so readily dismissed were now standing at the bottom of a ladder, that does not mean he will never be able to climb up that ladder.   As well, just because you may be under the illusion or impression that you are now standing on top of the ladder does not mean that you will always remain there.

And last but not least, you never know who that person knows and how one word out of their mouth, good or bad,  could alter the course of your life or organization.

In Conclusion

That initial face-to-face videoconference is strictly the equivalent of hearing a knock on your door and getting up to look through the peephole (not to open the door) in order to see who it is.  That's all it is! 
(To digress a bit, think about this for one split second:  I am sure that, once you hear a knock on your door and go look through the peephole, someone better be there and you are not going to wait for 30 seconds or 3 minutes for that person to show their face.  Nor would you venture outside the door in order to see who it is that knocked on your door - that is, of course, unless you are adventurous and like to throw caution to the wind.)
To continue, if the person looks suspicious, you can walk away from the door and not even bother to ask that person to identify himself.   If nothing arouses your suspicion after viewing that person through the peephole, you can then proceed to ask that person to identify himself and state the purpose of their visit prior to opening the door

If  you get a satisfactory response, while you are still behind the door, you now have a decision to make:  1) you can either tell that person you are not interested and go back to whatever it is you were doing,   or  2)  you may go ahead and open up the door  in order to hear more from that person.   (You will notice that you still have not invited that person to come inside your house.) 

Therefore, this "looking up through the peephole" process is necessary and the most crucial part of your journey.    Thus, if you fail to at least get up and go look through the peephole (i.e., to attend that videoconference at the time prescribed)  you will never know who - and what opportunity - was knocking on your door.  As the old saying goes, opportunity knocks but once.

The bottom line:    Collaboration in a Virtual Organization environment is only possible when there is mutual respect from all the parties and the projected outcome is mutually rewarding and beneficial.  Otherwise, the best possible outcome is Cooperation and Exploitation. 

The Moral of The Story

The bottom line:   Learn how to treat every single person that you come across as if he or she were the most important and special person in the world.    That is, of course, until their conduct or actions indicate otherwise and prove to be undeserving of such treatment.  That's what I call,  principled leadership in practice.

For Example:   If I had a videoconference scheduled for 10:00 am PST with either Warren Buffett,  the Queen of England or the President of the United States and I don't see him or her in the conference room when the clock strikes 10:00 AM,  I would close the conference room within 30 seconds or less,  immediately end the meeting, and log off.   I wouldn't give a damn about how big is the potential opportunity and how much money is at stake.   
That is the power of Principled Leadership and the Virtual Organization Management discipline.             
For ordinary folks, I know that sounds crazy and makes no sense at all.   However,  once you become exposed to Virtual Organizations and the art of Global Collaboration, Virtual Organization Leadership, Principled Leadership,  Principled Geopolitical Leadership, Political Evolution and Human Evolution; all of which fall under the purview of the Virtual Organization Management discipline; I am absolutely positive it will all make perfect sense to you.
