What is Open Source Ecology All About
To paraphrase information obtained directly from Open Source Ecology's website:
Open Source Ecology seeks to redesign and build an advanced human civilization through the power of collaboration and raw production.
In a nutshell, it is "a world where open source meets economy meets ecology. This means a prosperous world of people living in harmony with their natural life support systems."
Vision of Open Source Ecology
"We...imagine a world of innovation accelerated by open, collaborative development – to solve wicked problems – before they are created. We see a world of prosperity that doesn’t leave anyone behind...a world beyond artificial material scarcity – where no longer do material constraints and resource conflicts dictate most of human interactions – personal and political.
"The creation of a new world depends on expansion of human consciousness and personal evolution – as individuals tap their autonomy, mastery, and purpose – bo (sic) Build Themselves – and to become responsible for the world around them."
Timeline of My Introduction to Open Source Ecology
I have spent over seven (7) decades of my lifetime trying to uncover the secrets to human evolution. Specifically, over the last thirty (30) years, I have been the founder of the virtual organization management discipline and the world's only bona fide 100% virtual organizations; a tireless advocate of virtual organization leadership, principled leadership, principled geopolitical leadership, political evolution, and the need for mankind to make the transition from human being to intelligent being in order to embark on the Road to Human Evolution 2-22-2222.
In connection thereof, I began a global search in December 2019 for other innovative, forward-thinking, human evolution-oriented, and collaboration-centered organizations who understood the difference between Cooperation and Collaboration and the explosive power of collaboration.
Back then, I surmised, surely there must be other organizations like ours out there in this vast universe of ours - kindred spirits, so to speak - who would have a great deal of interest in collaborating with us in order to advance the cause of human evolution. As a result, I came across Open Source Ecology, the only organization in the world that I felt met our criteria for potential collaboration; and thus, initiated email contact on December 21, 2019.
Such contact resulted in an immediate upsurge of over 20,000 visitors to our primary website - courtesy of Open Source Ecology.
Since then, we've stayed in touch via email whenever I released a new article I deemed to be of potential interest to Marcin Jakubowski, the founder of Open Source Ecology.
Fast Forward to Present Day
A Shining Example of Collaboration. Over the last few months, we have received a tremendous amount of traffic from the following locations around the globe as a result of OSE's selfless effort, all without any advance notice to us or coordination on our end:

One Good Deed Deserves Another
Having spent a tremendous amount of time on the Open Source Ecology website and wiki over the years, and becoming very familiar with their vision, mission, and offerings; as well as their current, immediate and future needs; I see a great deal of synergy and symbiotic relationship between Open Source Ecology and the global Human Evolution 2-22-2222 initiative.
I'll say it for you, "Pierre, what do you mean by that, and can you be more specific?" Well, I am more than pleased to oblige, as you keep in mind the 12 themes I mentioned at the very beginning of this document.
Theme #8. If you are doing something for the sake of recognition, then you have already failed regardless of all accolades and future outcomes.
- The point being "redesigning and building an advanced human civilization through the power of collaboration and raw production" is not the sort of typical project which comes with benchmarks, key performance indicators, timelines and deliverables - in other words, a project with a limited lifespan. This is the sort of endeavor which transcends time and space; and thus, no amount of money from so-called investors or the waving of a magic wand will make this happen overnight.
- The history of mankind from time immemorial to this very day, minute and second indicates that it will take anywhere from thousands to millions of years for this project to gain widespread acceptance throughout the globe. Hence, this is not about gaining recognition from your peers. Nor is it about the opinion or approval of the global community.
Consequently, it is a selfless act and the Ultimate Act of Altruism.
- "Don't go by what people say, go by what people do." Open Source Ecology has been in the trenches since 2003 doing the best it can with meager means. That is proof of its commitment to an advanced human civilization. Otherwise, it would have abandoned such pursuit or look for an exit strategy a long, long time ago.
- The same can be said about the Global Human Evolution 2-22-2222 Initiative.
Included in the Vision of Open Source: "The creation of a new world depends on expansion of human consciousness and personal evolution – as individuals tap their autonomy, mastery, and purpose – bo (sic) Build Themselves – and to become responsible for the world around them."
The bottom line is this: Open Source Ecology seeks to empower each individual to learn how to lead himself/herself.
The same can be said about the Global Human Evolution 2-22-2222 Initiative.
- Once you take the time to dissect every single page, document, video or meeting, you will notice a certain amount of apprehension or angst on Marcin's part about having within his midst people who are not ethical. The point being he realizes that ethics will play a critical role in the advancement of a modern and advanced human civilization. Or else, this experiment will suffer the fate of all other noble endeavors since time immemorial. As the old saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
- The same can be said about the Global Human Evolution 2-22-2222 Initiative.
- Open Source Ecology makes the point that this is not all about building homes, it's what you get out of it and the innumerable benefits that can spring from such an outcome. It is just a springboard from which many other things which are yet to be imagined will come to fruition.
- The point being it is just the beginning of a long-term, rebuilding human civilization process. As the old saying goes, the road of a 1000 miles begins with a single step.
- The same can be said about the Global Human Evolution 2-22-2222 Initiative.
In Conclusion
The bottom line is this: Open Source Ecology is not about one project, one man trying to become one of the richest men in the world, being on the front page of business magazines, gaining endorsement from celebrities, one foundation, one investor, return on investment, business valuation, joining the ranks of unicorns, obtaining the backing and permission of one government, gaining the backing and endorsement of the global financial system, the achievements of an organization, the financial success of some organization, or some institution's claim to fame.
It's really all about YOU, your own progeny and the world that they will inherit hundreds, thousands, millions and billions of years from now; and the satisfaction of knowing that they stood on the shoulders of giants; without them ever realizing that you too were one of these giants.
Hence, the onus is on you to do whatever is humanly possible and ETHICAL to ensure that the Open Source Ecology caravan maintains a steady march on the road to an advanced human civilization as the detractors of our current civilization continually bark. A feat which requires the use of YOUR Own Imagination.
Thus, a perfect time for me to segue way into how I intend to use My Own Imagination to support the cause of Open Source Ecology in the years to come. This 5-Part Series of articles is just the tip of the iceberg.
